Schedule of 2010 Monthly Meetings
January 4 : The program will be WINMOR (sound card based) digital communications presented by David Gray, KF4WBS.
You will need Microsoft FrameWork 3.5 (with its subsequent updates); Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 ; and RMSExpress from the Yahoo.com WINMOR group.
February 1 : The program will be APRS, two-way tactical real-time digital communications systems, presented by David Gray, KF4WBS. If you wish to download the applications of interest prior to the meetings, please obtain UIView32 , and AWGPacket Engine ; you may also visit APRS.org for more info, and the APRS.fi web site to locate area digi(tal re)peters. We may also discuss Election of Officers for 2010.
March 1 : The program will be on the use of EchoLink in amateur radio. You can read a nice introduction to the use of the service at their web site.
April 5 : Business meeting followed by training and an introduction to operation of the new FEMA Rockwell Collins FNARS HF Radio.
May 3 :
June 7 : Bob Stephens/WA4CMO will make a presentation on the World Equestrian Games
(WEG) Communications Plan and the CSEPP Exercise Plan during the June
Bluegrass ARS Club meeting. Location will be the Red Cross Building, 1450
Newtown Pike, Lexington, Meeting Room "B" (second floor), 7:30 PM. The
Red Cross Building is on Newtown Pike about 1-1/4 miles off I-64/I-75, Exit 115.
When exiting the interstate, travel toward downtown Lexington. The Red
Cross Building is on the left.
Bob's topics will include:
1. Relationship of Amateur Radio to Public Safety Communications under
NIMS (National Incident Management System) using the World Equestrian
Games scenario. ICS Form 217.
2. Amateur Radio Emergency Communications mission briefing/request for
the WEG - Skywarn
3. CSEPP Exercise Briefing -- This year it will be held Wednesday June 9, 2010.

July 5 : The program will be a discussion of the requirements for a complete
WINMOR and Pactor III equipped amateur station for the EOC.
